NATCHEZ – Services for Michael J. “Mike” Byrne Sr., 50, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 23, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Byrne was born Feb. 14, 1958, in Natchez, the son of Donald Edwin Sr. and Barbara Clower Byrne.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Anna Byrne; three children, Jeanette Britt and husband, Adrian, and Eric Byrne, all of Natchez, and Michael Byrne Jr. and Samantha Barnes, both of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Anna Grace Britt, Joshua Britt and Michael “Trey” Byrne III; his parents, both of Natchez; four sisters, Susan Byrne of Houston, Jane Byrne of Baton Rouge, Peggy Byrne of Lafayette, La., and Shirley Byrne of Natchez; two brothers, Donald Byrne Jr. and wife, Renee, both of Senatobia, and Joseph Byrne of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be JoJo Eidt, Jerry David, Butch David, Modie Mascagni, Charlie Mascagni, Ray Brown, Chris San Roman and Johnny Byrne.
Memorials may be made to Cathedral Athletic Association, 701 Martin Luther King Street, Natchez, MS 39120 or to a charity of choice.
