Libraries welcome storyteller

Vidalia — Sylvia Davis will be at the Vidalia Library at 10:15 a.m. July 1 and at the Ferriday Library at 2 p.m. that afternoon.
Davis has a degree in speech and drama. She is a teacher, so her performances are usually limited to weekends and summers. She is a storyteller with lots of personality and humor. Her experience includes Telebration, Rapides Parish Library Black History Month Program, East Baton Rouge Parish Library Black History Program, Evangeline Parish Library Summer Reading Program, Rapides Parish Summer Reading Program, Concordia Parish and Grant Parish Summer Reading Program, East Baton Rouge Parish Summer Reading Program, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
Davis has visited Concordia Parish many times and the children love her stories.
