Cleotha Givens

WOODVILLE – Services for Cleotha Lucille Givens, 70, of Doloroso, who died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kingford Baptist Church, in Woodville, with the Rev. Ernest Ford officiating.
Burial will follow at Prater Cemetery, in Woodville, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Givens was born July 7, 1937, in Lanehart, the daughter of Jasper and Bessie Stewman Carter. She was a retired nurse’s aide and was a member of Union Baptist Church in Perrytown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oliver Givens; two sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include one son, Robert Sullivan Jr. of Woodville; three daughters, Joyce Davis and husband, Royce, both of Missouri City, Texas, Jacqueline Harris and husband, Milroy, both of Clarksdale, and Janie Thompson and husband, Jake, both of Portland, Ore.; one brother, Charles Carter of Dallas; five sisters, Edna Wilson, Ruth Barnes and Lillie Parker, all of Woodville, Dorothy M. Kelly of Baton Rouge, and Lula B. Hayes of New Orleans; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
