NATCHEZ – Services for Merle Miley, 86, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 30, 2008, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Darian Duckworth officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street.
Merle Miley was born on Feb.12, 1922, in Dadeville, Ala., the daughter of Charles Leon and Fannie Weston Greene Waldrup. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton Hartsfield Miley; two brothers, Leon Waldrup and Douglas Waldrup; and one sister, Claire Marks.
Survivors include three sons, Randy Thompson and Greg Miley, both of Natchez, and Rick Miley of Whitehall, Ark.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, H.E. Waldrup of Denham Springs, La.; and one sister, Edith Hovell of Montgomery, Ala.
