Natchez — After serving in various financial positions, including most recently controller of Natchez Regional, Charles Mock has assumed the duties of vice president of finance and chief financial officer.

“Charles has been a vital part of Natchez Regional Medical Center for 20 years; and I am confident his knowledge and expertise of healthcare finances make him an obvious choice for this important position,” CEO Scott Phillips said.

Mock received his Bachelor of science degree in accounting from Alcorn State University. He has been an integral part of improving and stabilizing the hospital’s current operations and a leader in putting strategies into place that will help the hospital improve annualized profits by $5 million, Phillips said.

Hospital board Chairman Dan Bland said he was excited about Mock’s position.

“Mr. Mock’s role is guiding the hospital to a stronger financial position as we reorganize and restructure is crucial. We are fortunate to have him on our team.”
