Morgan vice president of nursing at Natchez Regional

Natchez — Lana Morgan, after serving as interim vice president of nursing at Natchez Regional Medical Center for the past several weeks, has accepted the position on a permanent basis.
“We are thrilled that Lana has agreed to become our vice president of nursing. Her accomplishments thus far have certainly indicated to everyone that she is the right person to have in this leadership position,” CEO Scott Phillips said.
Morgan brings over 25 years of experience in the healthcare profession, with 18 of those years at Natchez Regional. She has previously had the positions of coronary care unit manager, critical care educator and staff nurse, director of education and quality, infection control and joint commission liaison. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi and her masters in Nursing Education from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
As the leader of the hospital’s largest department, Morgan is focusing on the areas of knowledge, accountability, professionalism and teamwork to ensure the hospital’s continued commitment to patients’ safety and quality care.
