MARTHAVILLE, La. – Graveside services for Johnny Birdwell, 50, of Grayson, La., who died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center, in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ajax Baptist Church Cemetery, in Marthaville, La.
Burial will follow under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Birdwell was born March 10, 1958, in Marthaville, the son of Percy and Annie Lindsey Birdwell. He was a landscaper.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Barton Birdwell.
Survivors include a son he raised as his own, Gabe Phillips and his two children, McKena and Nova, all of Grayson, La.; one brother, Percy D. Birdwell of Urania, La.; two sisters, Annie L. Peppers, of Ferriday, and Shirley Birdwell of Marthaville; and five nephews and two nieces.
