DOWNSVILLE, La. – Services for Timothy “T.C.” Martin Sr., 61, of Downsville, La., formerly of Vidalia, who died Thursday, July 10, 2008, in West Monroe, La., will be at 2 p.m. today at Downsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Devillier officiating.
Burial will follow at Downsville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Martin was born March 7, 1947, in McComb, the son of Albert LaVan and Annie Christine Martin. He was a motor winder by trade and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Martin was also an active member of Downsville Baptist Church. T.C. was a longtime girls’ softball coach in Vidalia, an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Joyce; one son, Timothy C. Martin Jr. and wife, Kristie; one daughter, Elise Bostick and husband, Craig; two grandsons, Matthew and Jonah Bostick; one sister, Trudy Martin McDaniel and husband, Dickie; three brothers, Tommy Martin and wife, Rhonda, Terry Martin and wife, Sallie, and Tyler Martin; two brothers-in-law, David Burch and wife, Dianne, and John Burch and wife, Donna; one sister-in-law, Anne Moore; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be members of T.C.’s adult Sunday school class.
Honorary pallbearers will be fellow co-workers at Southern Apparatus.
