OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi defensive tackle Ted Laurent has undergone arthroscopic knee surgery and university officials say no timetable has been set for his return.

The procedure at the Oxford Surgery Center was to repair a torn lateral meniscus in the sophomore’s right knee. Rehab began immediately, and the school says he’ll return once the knee is at full strength.

New Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt says he’s eager to get Laurent Sophomore back on the field.

Laurent, a native of Powder Springs, Georgia., saw action in seven games as a true freshman last season and earned his first letter.
