“This win feels good,” said Franklin County head coach Dana Smith. “We did a good job hitting tonight and played strong on defense.”

The Lady Bulldogs (3-0) got hot and stayed hot the entire game, collecting run after run on North Pike’s turf in an orderly fashion.

“The girls played hard and wanted this one,” Smith said. “It’s the first time we beat them (North Pike) in a while in either slow pitch or fast pitch.”

Smith’s daughter Kacey Smith, a junior shortstop plated three hits in the game. Junior Desiree Buie had an RBI double to go along with two singles.

Senior Taylor Stewart had two doubles and a single and Vandrianna Norman collected three singles.
