NATCHEZ — Three thousand dollars worth of shoes, a $4,000 TV and one pair of blue jeans were stolen in the 300 block of Old Washington Road Aug. 1
Four Natchez teenagers allegedly broke into a house, gaining access by knocking out a window unit.
It was reported to the Natchez Police Department at 7:30 a.m. when a neighbor noticed the window units had been removed and the back door was open.
“Investigators developed enough evidence to charge four individuals,” he said.
Benjamin Hargrave, 19, 110 North St., Kendrell Damon Johnson, 18, 4 Henderson St., Jerry Dwight Shinard, 18, 204 Bowman St., and Sylvester Dewayne Williams, 19, 23 S. Concord Ave., were arrested Tuesday and Wednesday.
Each has been charged with burglary of a residence and no bond has been set for any of them.
Mullins said so far, four of the 30 pairs of shoes have been recovered.
“The suspects state they sold the flat screen TV,” he said. “We’re trying to locate that and the rest of the items.”
