PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (AP) — State police say a woman driving eastbound on Interstate 10 during heavy winds and rain was killed when she ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

The wreck happened about 9 a.m. Monday just north of Prairieville.

Sergeant Markus Smith said no one else was injured.

Authorities have not released the woman’s name.
