NATCHEZ – Services for Willie Fry Jr., 74, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Smithland Baptist Church with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.
Burial will follow at Cannonsburg Family Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Fry was born July 20, 1934, in Adams County, the son of Willie Fry Sr. and Ida Proby-Norman. He was self-employed as a carpenter. He was a member of Greater St. Mark Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Charlie Norman; and two sisters, LuBertha Donald and Annie Mae Norman.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Davenport-Fry; six brothers, Marshall Leonard, Leroy Leonard, Richard Norman, Albert Norman, Chris Minor and Clarence Norman; five sisters, Della Thomas and husband, Luther, Adeline Stewart, Mattie Thomas and husband, Windell, Aline Dixon and Christine Banford; and 11 children, Janice Myles and husband, Charles, Tim Fry and wife, Ella, Neal Fry, Eric Fry and wife, Karen, Donald Fry, Andy Fry, Calvin Fry and wife, Antonia, Margie Ford, Wunda McDonald, Jeffery Fry and Keith Fry.
