NATCHEZ — Entergy’s Customer Service Manager Stephen Caruthers said all Adams County residents, with the capability to receive power, should have had their power restored on Saturday.

“I’m not aware of any customer that could take power that didn’t have it,” Caruthers said.

Caruthers said he was only aware of a small number of residents with damaged meter bases who could not receive electricity.

“If they have damage to the meter bases they would need to contact a licensed electrician and of course there’s several of them in town,” Caruthers said.

Repairing a meter base would be an out of pocket expense for the customer, he said.

Caruthers said if there are any residents still without power, and don’t have meter damage, they should call Entergy’s hotline to report the outage.

That number is 1-800-9-OUTAGE.

As a result of Hurricane Gustav all of Adams County lost electricity when five transmission lines bringing power into the county went down.

Caruthers said it was very unusual that all five transmission lines were damaged.
