FERRIDAY — Services for Robert Lee “Bob” Davis Jr., 60, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, Ark., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ritchie Barrett officiating.

Burial will follow at Archibald Community Cemetery in Archibald, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was born Feb. 1, 1948, in Rayville, La., the son of Irene and Robert Davis Sr.

He had been an insurance salesman for Union National Insurance Company for 38 years.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Robbie Jean Denny.

Survivors include daughter, Robin Welch and husband, Joey, both of Wilmot, Ark; sons, Cody Davis and wife, Delia, both of Jacksonville, Fla. and Chris Davis and wife, Mandy, both of Wilmot, Ark.; brothers, Glen Davis and wife, Deborah, both of Vidalia and Mike Davis and wife, Suzie, both of Ferriday; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Wilson, Lamar Spinks, Bobby Byrnes, Randy Coward, Jack Lofton and William Seyfarth.
