Natchez — A shoving match at Doc Big Love’s resulted in the hospitalization of one man.
Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said a businessman from the United Kingdom, Alexander John Whyte, 50, was trying to push his way into Doc Big Love’s at 12:15 Saturday morning when he was pushed back.
Whyte, allegedly heavily intoxicated, was pushed back in turn.
“He staggered backwards and fell and hit his head on the pavement,” Mullins said.
He was transported to Natchez Regional Medical Center via ambulance and was subsequently sent to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he’s listed in critical condition.
Mullins said the matter is still under investigation.
