MARKSVILLE, La. – Services for Paula Ann Nugent Boka, 36, of McComb, formerly of Marksville, who died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Tulane Medical Center, in New Orleans, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2 under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. today until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boka was the Co-chairman of the New Orleans Opera Ball, an active member of the New Orleans Opera Association and was involved with the Theatre of Performing Arts in Alexandria, La.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Widdie and Sybil Ponthieux of Marksville; paternal grandparents, E.T. and Georgia Nugent of Pineville, La.; and grandmother, Elizabeth Boka.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Bernard Boka; her parents, Jimmie and Barbara Ponthieux Nugent, both of Marksville; one sister, Susan Megison of Pineville; two brothers, Keith Nugent, of Walker, La., and Michael Nugent of Marksville; grandfather, George Boka; five nieces; and one nephew.
