WCCA celebrating homecoming

Woodville — WCCA will have 2008 homecoming festivities on Friday, Oct. 17. The homecoming parade is at 10:30 a.m. The court presentation will be at 6 p.m. followed by the football game at 7 p.m. The half time show will feature performances by the dance team, flag team and pep squad based on theme “Blast from the Past.”
After a week of campaign speeches and halls full of signs, the students elected student council officers. They are Allie Fontenot , president; Ron Polan, vice president; Hannah Ashley, secretary; Nathan Miller, treasurer and Cal Wilkerson and Timothy Wilson, reporters. Class representatives are Andrea Mahoney, ninth grade; Paul Stewart Skinner, 10th grade; and Lily Smith, Craig Lyons and Carol Johnson, 11th grade; and Garrett Wilkerson. 12th grade.
Student body representatives are Kathleen Rouprich, Taylor Vines, Samantha Pace, Rachael Lipke, Taylor Littleton and Julia Pace.
Science teacher, Mrs. Pamela Leake, is organizing a team to participate in the National Science Olympiad.
Upcoming events include:
Oct. 15 — 11th graders take the PSAT.
Oct. 15 — Ninth grade takes the NEDT
Oct. 16 — Report cards will be sent home.
Oct. 17 — WCCA homecoming football game against CENLA at 7 p.m.
Oct. 20 — Senior financial aid workshop will be at 6 p.m.in the WCCA cafeteria
Oct. 24 — Football at WCCA against Centreville 7 p.m.
