Herman Lyles

NATCHEZ – Services for Herman Lyles, 65, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. James Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Lyles was born March 28, 1943, in Natchez, the son of Willie Lyles Sr. and Lula Brown Lyles. He was a graduate of St. Francis High School and was a member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Singleton Lyles; his parents; and two brothers, Willie Lyles and Raymond Lyles.
Survivors include two daughters, Djuana Lyles Montgomery and husband, Eric, both of Forsyth, Ill. and Tara Lyles Morganfield of Bolingbrook, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Earline Anderson Collins and husband, Marlo, both of Natchez; one brother, Theodore Lyles of Skokie, Ill.; one uncle, Johnny Brown Sr. of Sibley; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
