FERRIDAY – Services for Dan Fair Jr., 74, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Baptist Church in Levee Heights.
Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Fair was born Aug. 3, 1934, in Vidalia, the son of Dan and Josie Percy Fair.
He was a heavy equipment operator for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
Mr. Fair was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae Henderson Fair of Ferriday; two sons, James Smith of Natchez and James Warren of Los Angeles; one daughter, Ernestine Litt Evans and husband, Alonzo, both of Natchez; two brothers, Robert L. Fair Sr. of St. Joseph, La. and Jimmie L. Fair of Ferriday; five sisters, Marie Jenkins, Willie Mae Gardner and Martha Burden, all of Vidalia, Pearly B. Fair and husband, Benard, both of St. Joseph and Joyce Kelly; sister-in-law, Carolina Henderson; special friend, Delores Henderson, all of Ferriday; and eight grandchildren.
