Dorothy Segrest

NATCHEZ – Services for Dorothy J. Segrest, 73, who died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Dr. Edgar Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Segrest was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Winnsboro, La., the daughter of George and Myrtle Harper Johns.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Robert O. “Pop” Segrest Jr.; one son, George Segrest; and one daughter, Bobbie Ann Segrest.
Survivors include two daughters, Angie Farrell and husband, Harvey, Connie Archer and Gary Campbell; one son, John Segrest Sr. and wife, Kim, all of Natchez; six grandchildren, Amy McDonald and husband, Brad, both of Natchez, Justin Whitehead and wife, Cristy, both of Canton, Tammy Tatum and husband, Ty, Robert Segrest and wife, Abbey, John Segrest Jr., all of Natchez, and Anni Poole and husband, James, both of Florida; nine great-grandchildren; her mother, Myrtle Harper of Tallaluh; three sisters, Betty Greer Smith of Natchez, Ethel Winnborne of Winnsboro and Virginia Carney of Tallaluh; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Justin Whitehead, Robert Segrest, Drey Prescott, Brad McDonald, Andy Sadler and Locke Wheeler.
