FERRIDAY – Services for Lane Ray Lee, 81, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home with Brother Richard Cullum officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Lee was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Caston, La., the son of Rayne and Alice Lee. He was retired from International Paper Company after 35 years of employment as a service operator. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Chad Wolfe; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Summer Wolfe; his parents; and two brothers, Bobby and Johnny Lee.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ollie K. Lee; three daughters, Cathy Nugent and husband, Eddie, and Karen Martin and husband, Luke, all of Ferriday, and Sharon Wolfe and husband, Jim, both of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Martha A. Rowell of Caston, La.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
