MEADVILLE – Services for Neal “Fat Boy” Jones Jr., 74, of Roxie, who died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at his residence, will be at noon today at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Kirby.
Burial will follow at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery, in Quentin, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Jones was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Quentin, the son of Neal Sr. and Ida Mae Byrd Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth W. Jones; his parents; five sisters; two nephews; and one niece.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruther Jones and Ella Marie Stewart and husband, Chris, all of Indiana; five sons, the Rev. August Washington and wife, Wilma, both of Meadville, James Jones Sr. and wife, Emma Gene, Nathaniel Jones and Willie John Jones, all of Indiana, and Paul Jeffery Jones and wife, Hazel, both of Fayette; two sisters, Shirley Campbell and Alberta Robinson, both of Indiana; one brother, Billy Jones Sr. of Bude; four sisters-in-law, Augustine Pemberton, Lottie Gibson, Florence Puckette and Carrie Lee Jones; three brothers-in-law, Timmy Mason and wife, Vanetta, Tommy Mason and wife, Donna, and Arthur Washington and wife, Betty; 30 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
