Pearly Williams

NATCHEZ – Services for Pearly J. Williams, 84, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Williams was born Jan. 10, 1924, in Adams County, the son of Leroy and Annie Williams. He attended Natchez Public Schools and was self-employed as a carpenter. Mr. Williams was a member of Greater St. James Baptist Church and was a member of the senior choir. He took great interest in caring for his loving mother and aunt.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pearl Williams; his father; and two brothers, Leroy Williams and Henry Williams.
Survivors include his mother; two children, Deloris M. Davis of Natchez and Ollie Craig of Dallas; one grandchild, Catina Johnson; one great-grandchild, Keshawndra Evans, both of Natchez; one aunt, Hattie Williams of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
