MEADVILLE – Services for Lizzie Catherine Allen, 73, of Bude, who died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Kirby.
Burial will follow at Higdon Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Allen was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Natchez, the daughter of Nora Allen Sr. and Weata Allen. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Kirby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Essie Hines and Dessie Lee Allen.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Grinnell of Bude; one son, Earnest Allen of Bude; two sisters, Baby Lillie Stampley and husband, Gene, both of Fayette and Bessie Rae Felton and husband, M.E., both of Hamburg; three brothers, Nora Allen Jr., Jacob Allen and C.L. Allen and wife, Vera, all of Kirby; four great-grandchildren; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
