Vidalia — National sporting goods retailer Hibbett Sports, Inc; has opened its newest store in Vidalia,

The new Hibbett Sports store opened at 1907 Carter St.in Vidalia on Nov. 13, and will employ approximately eight full and part-time team members.

Louisiana has been a target for Hibbett Sports’ expansion over the past several years.

With the addition of the Vidalia location, the company has 38 stores open in Louisiana. The store located in Hammond, La. opened in 1995, and was the first Hibbett Sports to open in Louisiana.
