Christmas sights ring in good news

It’s undeniable now. Christmas is coming.
The young ladies at the Natchez Ballet Academy have taken the stage for their annual performance of “The Nutcracker,” preparations are under way for the annual Friends of the Library tour of homes and holiday shopping has begun.
But Christmas events aren’t the only things bringing cheer this time of year.
4The Smithsonian exhibit at the Delta Music Museum continues to bring cultural and educational opportunities to the area.
Saturday night local musicians performed a tribute to local sounds.
4Students at Huntington School are hitting the books and proud of it. The school hosted a book fair last week, and older students shared their favorite books with younger students.
4HGTV was in town last week filming scenes for an upcoming show at two Natchez houses. Two sets of homeowners will be featured on the television show “My house is worth what?”
Anytime a national TV show comes to town, Natchez gets great free publicity that is likely to drive guests to our charming town.
But before we get too focused on Christmas, let’s remember to give thanks this coming week. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
