POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. – Services for William G. “Bill” New, 61, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., who died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital in Missouri, will be at 11 a.m. today at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Webb officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home, Inc., Missouri.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. New was born June 7, 1947, in El Dorado, Ark., and was a member of the Mount Calvary Power House Church of God. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, hunting and fishing.
On July 20, 1996, he married Donna Bates Casey in Natchez.
Survivors include his wife; one son, William G. New II; one stepson, Sean Casey; two daughters, Melissa New Albert and Pam New Parker; one brother, Mike New; one sister, Joyce Westman; and seven grandchildren.
