NATCHEZ — W. Bryan Dantone, 57, formerly of Houston, Texas, died unexpectedly at his home in Round Top, Texas, Nov. 17, 2008. Bryan, a seventh generation Texan, was preceded in death by his father Joseph D. Dantone and mother Regina Brelsford Share, and is survived by his wife of 23 years, Liz Burkholder Dantone, and an extended family in southern Louisiana, all of whom he cherished greatly.
Bryan grew up and was educated in Houston. His entrepreneurial spirit guided his professional success in real estate investment. He will be remembered as a man of keen intellect and perceptive thinking. His interests included history, economics, politics, world travel, western music and driving fast cars. He was renowned for his storytelling, wit and generosity.
In 2003, Bryan and Liz established another home in historic Natchez, a community he dearly loved. Reflective of Bryan’s many interests, memorial gifts may be made to the Houston Audubon Society—designated for sanctuaries, Natchez-Adams County Humane Society Building Fund, or Pleasant Acre Day School, Natchez.
Bryan was honored in a memorial service in Houston and will be buried in Austin, Texas. Natchez friends are invited to the Dantone home to celebrate his life from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008.
Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, TX 77833. www.brenham-memorial-chapel.com.
