Rev. Beulah Brady

NATCHEZ – Services for the Rev. Beulah Brady, 98, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Lower Woodville Road, with the Rev. George W. Tyler, presiding elder, officiating.
Burial will follow at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Rev. Brady was born May 7, 1910, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Elijah and Laura Porterfield. She was assistant pastor at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sons, James E. Brady, Albert Brady, Pless Thomas and Joseph Thomas; one daughter, Lucille Farrier; and five granddaughters, Yvonne Lyons, Beulah Page, Louvenia Jones, Frank Lillian Watson and Kimberly Porterfield.
Survivors include six children, Elijah Thomas, Johnette B. Hicks, Clyde N. Brady, Mary L. Brady-Brown, Martha L. Brady and Wayne D. Porterfield; 37 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 44 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
