NATCHEZ — Services for Aubrey H. Mulkey, 82, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at River Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, will be at 10 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. James Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mulkey was born April 21, 1926, in Dumas, Ark., the daughter of Benjamin Flournoy Harrison Sr. and Nannie Wood Mason Harrison. She was an active member of Parkway Baptist Church and Sunday school until moving to Vicksburg in 2005 due to health reasons. She was employed by Home Bakery in Natchez for many years and was co-owner and operator of Mammy’s Cupboard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Robert V. Hodges Sr. and Charles E. Mulkey; one son, Robert V. Hodges Jr.; and two brothers, B.F. Harrison Jr. and Charlie Roy Harrison.
Survivors include one son, Henry “Hank” Harrison Hodges and wife, Rose, both of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, Robert B. “Ben” Hodges and Dianna Rose Hodges, both of Vicksburg; three great-grandchildren, Christina, John-Wilson and Kiley; one daughter-in-law, Charlene Hodges of Atlanta; one sister, Etha Jenkins of Lewisville, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Dudley, Robert B. Hodges, Bo Dudley, Ray Hamilton, Chris Hamilton and Lloyd Foreman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Brown, C.B. Windham, Russell Vines, A.K. Moore and C.B. Jones.
