NATCHEZ — Natchez Community Hospital fired seven of its employees.
“As a normal course of our daily operations, we continually seek out opportunities to achieve cost savings while simultaneously improving quality and satisfaction,” Human Resources Director Hal Harrington said.
“Recently, we performed a restructuring in order to achieve these goals.”
Two physician practice management office employees, one administrative assistant, one maintenance technician, two business office employees and one file clerk were all terminated.
“We are confident that the measures recently taken will continue to improve our hospital operations and improve patient, physician and employee satisfaction,” Harrington said.
Conversely, the hospital is recruiting for several positions — registered nurse, licensed vocational nurse, unit clerk, patient access associate, patient care attendant, environmental service aide and phlebotomist.
“We take great pride in the fact that over the past six to nine months, members of our community have entrusted Natchez Community Hospital with their care, resulting in record patient volumes,” Harrington said.
