Victorian luncheon brings holiday cheer

Can you believe it’s that time of year again? Christmas!
It’s the most magical time of the year. There is the hustle and bustle of shopping, lights to be strung and the aroma from all the baking that has to be done. It’s time to remember family traditions and have some holiday cheer with good friends.
The list goes on and on.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year.
Let me take this time to invite you to the Natchez Garden Club’s annual Victorian Luncheon.
The Victorian Luncheon is a delightful buffet featuring foods prepared by the Natchez Garden Club members.
For starters guests will enjoy Magnolia Hall’s famous corn chowder.
The menu also includes finger sandwiches of all kinds, chicken salad, pimento and cheese, pork loin and bacon and green onion.
Along with this you can look forward to stuffed eggs, hot onion soufflé, assorted dips, Texas tortes and many other savory goods.
Desserts include homemade chocolate chess squares, lemon squares, decadent brownies and of course Magnolia Hall’s cocoons.
Hot-spiced tea, sparkling punch or refreshing lemon water will finish off this fantastic meal.
In addition, there will be a casserole sale on the back porch of Magnolia Hall.
Here you can pick up those delicious casseroles made by our Natchez Garden Club members.
I couldn’t think of a better way to simplify the holiday season, especially when those unexpected guests find their way to your door.
From 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday take your lunch home and come enjoy the festivities at Magnolia Hall for the Natchez Garden Club’s Victorian Luncheon.
Come one, come all, bosses treat your employees, and join us for great food and some delightful entertainment.
What a nice way to get us in that holiday spirit.
Dress casually or come in your holiday attire.
We will be looking for you there.
This event is a fundraiser that will benefit the Preservation Society of Ellicott Hill. The tickets are only $10 each.
