MEADVILLE — Services for Emma Scott Smith, 79, of Meadville, who died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the family cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 27, 1929, in Meadville, the daughter of Jasper Scott and Callie Hamilton Scott. She was retired as tax assessor for Franklin County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother.
Survivors include four sons, Jim Smith of Roxie, Tony Smith of Bunkley, Lewis Smith and Robin Smith, both of Meadville; one daughter, Emma Dianne Cobb of Meadville; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
