MONTEREY — Services for Mitchell “Dock” Wiley Jr., 68, of Wildsville, La., who died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Monterey Faith Temple Pentecostal Church with Brother Greg Terrell and Brother Ronnie Wesberry officiating.
Burial will follow at Wildsville Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Wiley was born May 28, 1940, in Wildsville, the son of Mitchell and Martha Allwell Wiley. He was employed as an oil field worker.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Higginbotham Wiley; one son, Bobby Ray Wiley and wife, Lisa; two daughters, Tammy M. Rider and husband, Donald, and Abbigail LaPrairie and husband, Michael, all of Wildsville; two sisters, Ioma Miller of Jonesville and Emma Jean Woolsey of Walker, La.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Herman Wiley, Bryan Rush, Gary Domangue, William Higginbotham, Timmy Wiley and Mitchell Wiley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Higginbotham, Dickie Carter, Dallas Harris and Allen Wiley.
