BROOKHAVEN — Services for Maggie Lea Hamilton, 97, of Brookhaven, who died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Silver Cross in Brookhaven, will be at 2 p.m. today at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Home in Brookhaven.
Mrs. Hamilton was born Dec. 28, 1910, the daughter of Ernest C. Nordan and Mollie Herring Nordan. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. Johnnie J. Hamilton Sr.; one son, Hubert Hamilton; and one son-in-law, Curtis Smith.
Survivors include two sons, J.J. Hamilton Jr. and wife, Winifred, both of Brookhaven, and Jerry Hamilton and wife, Judy, both of Meadville; one daughter, Janet Smith; seven grandchildren; Mike Hamilton and wife, Connie, Dewana McCain and husband, Dwight, Regina Rand and husband, Donald, Dwayne Hamilton and wife, Regina, Lavonne Hamilton and wife, Donna, Reggie Smith and wife, Denise, and Shauna Barrier and husband, Marc; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lester Nordan; and one daughter-in-law, Nell Hamilton.
