NATCHEZ — The westbound right lane of the Mississippi River Bridge closed Wednesday and will be closed for an unknown amount of time while the Mississippi Department of Transportation does some maintenance work.
The work began on the bridge Wednesday to clean dirt and build-up off the bridge, said Janet Sullivan, assistant to MDOT commissioner Wayne Brown.
She said the cleanup is routine.
Crews will be doing the maintenance work on the bridge Monday through Saturday until the work is completed.
Closures will begin each day at 6 a.m. and end around 7 p.m.
