NATCHEZ — Services for Earl Lambert, 84, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Steve Purvis officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Lambert was born March 9, 1924, in Jayess, the son of Marshall and Dora Kyzar Lambert. He was a member of Stanton Baptist Church. He retired from Armstrong Rubber Company as a tire builder.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zelma Lambert; one son, David Earl Lambert; one brother, Ray Lambert; and two sisters, Nettie Breeden and Edna Pennington.
Survivors include one son, Richard Lambert and wife, Sherri; one granddaughter, Erin Lambert, all of Natchez; one sister, Helen Ballard of Monticello; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Paul Allen, Charles Stephens, Robbie Savant, Gary Holloway, Jerry Holloway and Charlie Fisher.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Stanton Baptist Church Adult Men’s Sunday School Class.
