FERRIDAY — Three people have been arrested in connection with a weekend fight that left one man hospitalized.
On Sunday, John L. Randall Jr., 29, 25 Gillespie St., Vidalia, was arrested on charges of aggravated second-degree battery and criminal damage to property.
On Tuesday, Kenya M. King, 31, 239 Seventh St., Ferriday and Carlos King, 29, 25 Gillespie St., Vidalia, were also arrested on charges of aggravated second-degree battery and criminal damage to property.
The three were arrested following a Saturday altercation outside of Club Steppers at 812 First St., in which the suspects allegedly beat a man with a sawed-off shotgun, Assistant Chief of Police Johnny Evans said.
The victim, in his mid-20s, was transported to Riverland Medical Center and then to a Jackson hospital where he is being treated for a broken arm and several skull and other head fractures, Evans said.
The victim is in stable condition and should be released from the hospital in the coming days, Evans said.
The fight reportedly started after a woman Carlos King had a romantic involvement with had stopped seeing King and started seeing the victim, Evans said.
The police were able to apprehend Randall at the scene, and Carlos and Kenya King were later arrested on warrants.
The three suspects were magistrated Wednesday, and Randall’s bond was set at $52,500, Carlos King’s bond was set at $42,500 and Kenya King’s bond was set at $27,500.
