VIDALIA — Services for Brother Albert Fraley, 65, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Rapides General Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Vidalia Assembly of God Church with Brother Douglas Fulenwider officiating.
Burial will follow at Guidry Cemetery in Baston, Texas, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Brother Fraley was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Bessemer, Ala., the son of Albert Sr. and Mabel Fraley. He was the pastor of Vidalia Assembly of God Church. He served as former Presbyter, head of the Men’s Ministry, Boy Scout Troop Leader, Little League baseball coach, youth minister and was a youth hunting guide. Brother Fraley lead a life of service to his fellowman, filling the needs of those in difficult time through the Feed the Hungry food pantry that once a month provides groceries to countless families in the Miss-Lou.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Coralie Jo Fraley; his father; and one sister, Willie Hanson.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Fraley Poss and husband, David, both of Glen Rose, Texas; one son, Mike Fraley and wife, Tracey, both of Granbury, Texas; his mother of Onalaska, Texas; four grandchildren, Christopher Poss, Michelle Poss, Miranda Davis and husband, Luke, and Alec Demore Fraley; one great-granddaughter, Sara Davis; three brothers, Phillip Fraley of Huntsville, Texas, Mark Fraley of Missouri and John Fraley of Onalaska; and three sisters, Virginia Rasnick of Conroe, Texas, Patricia Howard of Dickinson, Texas and Gloria Lancaster of Onalaska.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Poss, Alec Fraley, Luke Davis, Nathan Robertson, Ricky Howard, Travis Howard, Bill Cheek and Tim Vanier.
