Natchez — Lana Morgan, vice president of nursing at Natchez Regional Medical Center, along with CEO Scott Phillips, are pleased to announce that five outstanding nurses have accepted leadership positions within the hospital’s nursing units.
“Several weeks ago, we began a campaign geared toward attracting experienced and qualified nurses to fill positions in the majority of our nursing areas,” Morgan said.
“During this time period, we also had several leadership positions become available due to reassignment of duties. This opened up a great opportunity for the hospital to place some of the nurses we acquired during our ‘Now is an excellent time for nursing’ campaign in management positions, as well as utilize some of our existing highly skilled nurses in these positions,” Morgan said.
Phillips said he was happy the program was in place.
“Lana has put together a highly professional group of nurse practice leaders, and I commend her and her team for the emphasis they are placing on customer satisfaction and getting back to the basics of hands-on nursing care.”

“Ursula brings enthusiasm and an array of ideas to enhance this specialized area of nursing,” Morgan said.
