NATCHEZ — Services for Charles E. “ the Colonel” Smoot, 89, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Charter Methodist Hospital in Dallas, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at New Zion No. 1 Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Ford Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Rev’s Funeral Home in Dallas.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
