Jackson’s 72nd homicide happens Christmas Day

JACKSON (AP) — A man killed in a Christmas Day shooting in Jackson was the city’s 72nd homicide victim of 2008.
Police said Maurice Warner, whose age and home town were unavailable, was shot multiple times around 5:30 p.m. in the Midtown area.
Police spokesman Lt. Jeffery Scott said police do not have a suspect or a motive in the shooting.
