NATCHEZ — Services for Larry Brown Jr., 16, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Mount Olive Baptist Church, in Sibley, with the Rev. Larry Wright Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Windy Hill No. 2 Baptist Church, in Cranfield, under the direction of Robert D. Mackel Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Larry was born Nov. 18, 1992, the same day as his mother’s birthday, the son of Larry and Evangelist Brenda Smith Brown.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfathers, Walter Smith Sr. and James Edward Brown; one aunt, Gail Cage; and three uncles, Walter Smith Sr., Terry Smith and Daniel Carter.
Survivors include his parents; two grandmothers, Annie Mae Smith and Shirley Marie Brown, both of Natchez; eight aunts, Betty Patterson and husband, Milton, and Mary Williams and husband, Earnest, all of Jackson, Wanda Summerhill of Dunwoody, Ga., JoAnn Smith of Sibley, Velma Smith and Eddie Smith and husband, Charles, and Shelia Wilson, all of Natchez, and Velma Lawson and husband, Zeno, both of Dumfries, Va.; and seven uncles, James Smith and wife, Coretha, Pearly Brown and wife, Dornedia, and Wayne Minor, all of Natchez, Maurice Williams of Roxie, Willie Brown and wife, Kathy, both of Bolton, Richard Fleming of Memphis, Tenn. and Thomas Brown and wife, Sandra, both of Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Natchez High Touchdown Club.
