Vidalia man arrested for threatening family

VIDALIA — A Vidalia-area man was arrested Saturday after allegedly threatening his family and firing several gunshots.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Sgts. Todd Ainsworth and Larry Lawrence booked Clifford E. Brandenburg, 32, 805 Minorca, on charges of six counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of a firearm and simple battery (domestic violence) after he allegedly kept his wife and child at gunpoint at their residence, according to a statement from the CPSO.

Brandenburg reportedly fired several shots at others near the home, but no one was injured in the incident, the statement said.
