UTICA — Private family graveside services for Dorothy W. Sweeney, 86, of Utica, formerly of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Utica Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sweeney was born in Claiborne County and had lived in Vidalia for many years. She lived in Crystal Springs for the past five years. She attended the Church of Christ Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Sweeney.
Survivors include one son, Terry Sweeney of Vicksburg; one daughter, Linda Manning of Terry; two sisters, Virginia Yarberry of Dallas and Ruth Curtis of Utica; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Manning, Mark Manning, Jimmy McFarland, Edward Wilson, Ray Curtis and Tim Sweeney.
