WOODVILLE — A Wednesday evening auto accident in Wilkinson County left four people dead.

Wilkinson County Coroner Travis Sharp said the wreck was on Mississippi 24, just west of Woodville, and was a head-on collision.

Sharp did not know the cause of the accident

Essie Green and Dijonaise Rutledge, 15, both of Woodville, were killed in the accident.

Sharp said the other two victims were burned in their vehicle and have not been identified.

All four victims were dead at the scene.

Green and Rutledge are related and both were thrown from the vehicle they were traveling in.

Sharp said he will continue to try to find the identities of accident’s other victims.

But that process could be slowed by the holiday.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

They could not be reached for comment.
