MONROE COMMUNITY — Funeral services for Wilson “Hicks” Hickenbottom, 79, of Bude, who died Dec. 31, 2008 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, will be at 2 p.m. today at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. today at the church until time of services.

Mr. Hickenbottom was born Sept. 3, 1929 in Franklin County, the son of Wilson Hickenbottom Sr. and Anna Whitney Hickenbottom. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margie Cameron and Mary Johnson and two brothers, Willie Fleming and Bates Fleming.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Bertha Mae Hickenbottom; eight daughters; four sons; one sister and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
