NATCHEZ — The two members of an alleged father-son robbery duo were reunited Sunday — behind bars.
Zachary Ramon Clay, 18, 104 Dumas Drive, was booked on charges of armed robbery at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office after he turned himself in Sunday, Maj. Jody Waldrop said.
Clay’s father, Lee R. Smith, 42, 28 Broadmoor Drive, was arrested at his home on the same charges Friday. Authorities began looking for the two after Smith allegedly robbed a Country Club Drive resident at gunpoint.
The victim had reportedly let Smith into the house to use the phone. After Smith left, Clay allegedly knocked on the door and pulled a gun on the homeowner, demanding money and valuables.
The two reportedly collected $800 worth of forcibly taken cash and jewelry from the victim.
The victim allegedly knew Smith. Both were detained without bond Monday.
