WATERPROOF — Services for Ida Daniels, 57, of Waterproof, who died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Everett Schiele officiating.
Burial will follow at Helena Cemetery, in Waterproof, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Daniels was born May 17, 1951, in Newellton, La., the daughter of Mingo and Lillie Randall Daniels.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Brandon Daniels of Ferriday and Joseph Daniels of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Andrew Daniels and wife, Rita, both of Houston, Texas, David Daniels and wife, Annie, both of Marrero, La., and Mingo Daniels and wife, Carolyn, of Waterproof; two sisters, Lou Daniels and husband, Willie, and Alice Daniels, all of Waterproof; one daughter-in-law, Marie Simmons of Ferriday; two grandchildren, DeAysha and DeYondris Simmons, both of Ferriday; one aunt, Mattie E. Day; and Herman Daniels, both of Marrero.
